Nsibidi CODEX

Nsibidi Codex is an Augmented Reality experience where you put together pieces of a puzzle to solve and learn about various Nsibidi symbols and their meanings. Each puzzle is linked to a mysterious artefact looming in the background as the level begins. Solving the puzzle also unlocks the full vision of the artefact for the player to interact with!

All the artefacts in this project have been 3D scanned thanks to the Lagos National Museum. 

We came up with this game so players can experience viewing these artefacts from the comfort of their rooms, while also learning about the long lost art of Nsibidi, a hieroglyphic-style writing system that showcases the creativity of our ancestors and their ways of communication.
